Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Manya Sharma, a sole proprietor trading as Vaniqo ("Vaniqo", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use vaniqo.in and related services (the "Service"). We are the data controller. Vaniqo is based in India and serves learners around the world, so please read the section on international transfers below.

Information we collect

• Account data: your name, email, and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
• Learning data: your level, goals, progress, streaks, and practice history, so we can personalise your path.
• Lesson data: your bookings, and a timestamped record of who joined each live lesson and when, which we use to run lessons and settle any disagreement about attendance.
• Payment data: payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your full card details — only a record of your plan, purchases, and their status.
• Communications: messages and emails you send to support or your tutor.
• Technical data: device, browser, approximate region (from your IP, to show the right prices and currency), and usage events.

How and why we use it

• To provide, personalise, and improve the Service (our contract).
• To manage your account, subscription, purchases, and support requests (our contract).
• To send transactional emails — sign-up, receipts, lesson reminders, and important notices (our contract and legitimate interest).
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal and tax obligations (legitimate interest and legal obligation).

Where you are in the EEA or UK, the bracketed items above are our lawful bases. Where we rely on consent (for example any optional communications) you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that run Vaniqo, under contracts that limit them to processing it on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data. Our main providers are:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Our video provider (8x8 / Jitsi) — running live video lessons.

We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

International transfers

Vaniqo is operated from India, and some of our providers process data in India and other countries. This means your personal data may be transferred to and processed outside your own country, including outside the EEA or UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers. Contact us for more detail.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as we need it — for example to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes. We delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed, or on your valid request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise any of these, email support@vaniqo.in; we will respond within the time the law requires. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not run advertising trackers.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
